  • It is okay to eat food warm. But it should never be too hot or too cold. It also must not be too wet or too dry.

What to Avoid on the Sattvic Diet

The sattvic way of life stands for mindfulness and harmony. It is therefore important to know various taboos and to banish them from your way of life:
  • Self-indulgence and greed must be avoided at all costs when eating.
  • Don't eat old, reheated, or chemically treated foods.
  • A negative atmosphere and bad company are to be avoided at all costs when dining.
  • Basically, you should avoid all hot and stimulating spices. This means that you shouldn't eat garlic, chili, leeks, onions, horseradish, nutmeg and pepper.
